The name Kèr Èykaj is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Èykaj was founded by Zleg̈geshë Williams, who was culturaly Tauric.
Climate
Kèr Èykaj has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Kèr Èykaj receives an average of 68 cm/y (26 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Kèr Èykaj covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 6534 m (21437 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Kèr Èykaj was founded durring the early 12th century in winter of the year 1149, by Zleg̈geshë Williams. The establishment of Kèr Èykaj was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Kèr Èykaj's construction back out of the project. Zleg̈geshë Williams pushed on reguardles, and Kèr Èykaj was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Kèr Èykaj was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Èykaj is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.
Kèr Èykaj is buildings are arranged within a network of narrow cobblestone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Unfortuantly, these robustly designed timber walls are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.
A look arround Kèr Èykaj reveals an abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.
Civic Infrastructure
Kèr Èykaj has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Èykaj. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Èykaj's parks.
Kèr Èykaj has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Èykaj.
Kèr Èykaj has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Kèr Èykaj has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Èykaj has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Èykaj's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Kèr Èykaj has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Èykaj's natural decorations nor waterways.
Kèr Èykaj has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Kèr Èykaj has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
While Kèr Èykaj has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.
Kèr Èykaj's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .
Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is long in Kèr Èykaj.
The Stag, Emperor near Kèr Èykaj are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.
Kèr Èykaj's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves performance art to channel Summoning energies of tier 2 via throat chanting.
